Community engagement monthly round up

update, 10 May - Please note the presentation at the drop-in event on 23 May will now be about the design for the replacement London Underground Substation and ventilation shaft building, which will be located adjacent to Stephenson Way. There will also be information on environmental monitoring available.

On 21 March we had the fifth of our community drop-in events, which this time was held at the Surma Centre on Robert Street. The event included a presentation on the works at Euston Square Gardens and the demolitions to the west of the station. You can view the presentation materials on the new Commonplace page on these works here.

In the run up to the Easter weekend, we carried out leafleting to station users and co-ordinated with Network Rail to communicate the changes to the footpath routes around Euston Square Gardens to the station. Details of the changes are available here.

A summary of the comments and feedback received during the recent HS2 Euston station design engagement is now available on the station design development page here.

The next drop-in event is on 23 May and will be taking place at the Steve Smith hall, Redhill Street (5-7pm). There will be a presentation on Environmental monitoring and mitigation measures at 5.30pm. All the drop-ins are staffed by colleagues from CSJV (Enabling Works), SCS Railways (Main works), Network Rail and Thames Water.

We are continuing to send out notifications directly to properties in advance of works starting, including the latest update on the Network Rail works. These are available on the news alert section of Commonplace. We also keep hard copies at our drop-in centre and can provide additional copies on request.

Our community drop-in centre is relocated temporarily at 11-13 Melton Street (Former Senator Group building), on the corner with Euston Street, while works are carried out at the former Addison Lee site.

The artwork developed for the Park Village East hoardings following engagement with residents has now been installed. We have also been working closely with the Drummond Street traders to develop the designs for the hoarding artwork, and these are also now installed. Similar activity is currently taking place with businesses at Stephenson Way.

The latest updates to the works lookaheads are available here.

You can also view the latest notifications for utility trial holes on Euston Road, Drummond Street, Eversholt Street, Chalton Street and Gower Place here.
