Community engagement update

The latest Euston Community Representatives Group meeting took place on 30 January and the most recent documents and future dates for meetings are available on the dedicated ECRG page on Commonplace.

On 21 February we had the fourth of our community drop-in events, which this time was held at the Old Diorama Arts Centre. The event included a presentation on the latest progress with the station design. You can view the presentation materials on our station design page on Commonplace or at the community drop-in centre. You can provide feedback on the station design so far by completing the survey which is open until close of business on 8 March; your thoughts and views are valued.

The next drop-in event is on 21 March and will be taking place at the Surma Centre on Robert Street (5-7pm). There will be a presentation at 6pm on the works planned at Euston Square Gardens and the demolitions programme. All the drop-ins are staffed by colleagues from CSjv, Network Rail and Thames Water.

As well as the station design page, we have recently updated our Commonplace pages on the works at St James’s Gardens and we have passed on the historic information received on our comments page to our archaeology team. We have also created a page where we have collated the responses to the questions we are frequently asked about HS2 works , and we will continue to keep this page updated.

We are continuing to send out notifications directly to properties in advance of works starting. These are also available on the news alert section of Commonplace. We also keep hard copies at our drop-in centre and can provide additional copies on request. Later this week we will be sending out our latest summary newsletter of all works taking place in the Euston area.

Our community drop-in centre will be relocating temporarily for a few weeks during March and April due to works being carried out at the former Addison Lee site. From 13 March we will be located at 11-13 Melton Street (Former Senator Group building), on the corner with Euston Street.

We have been working with the Drummond Street traders to develop plans for the hoarding artwork for the area and the new artwork is planned to be installed in March. Similarly the artwork developed for the Park Village East hoardings following engagement with residents will also be installed in March.

The latest updates to the four week and 12 month construction works look-aheads are available here.
