Euston Square Gardens

AMENDED NOTICE

As part of developing the route design of the HS2 high speed railway, we will be carrying out utility trial holes in Euston Square Gardens.

The west side of Euston Square Gardens (Melton Street side) will subsequently be fully closed to the public from mid-January for enabling works including heritage works, site clearance and utility diversions.

Duration of Works
  • Trial holes in Euston Square Gardens from 18 December 2017 expected to be completed in mid-January 2018.
  • Work will be suspended over Christmas, from 22 December to 2 January.
  • There will be further trial holes in Cobourg Street and Drummond Street in early 2018.
  • Normal working hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, Saturdays 8am to 1pm.
  • Our contractors may also be on site for an hour before the start and/or at the end of each shift.
  • How will this affect me?

The trial holes in Euston Square Gardens will be carried out near the Melton Street corner and will be initially secured by construction fencing.

These will start on the 18 December and will take place for one week, until work will be suspended for the Christmas period. They will re-start on the 3 January.

From mid-January, the west side of Euston Square Gardens will be fully closed to the public.

There will be two further trial hole sites on Drummond Street; at the junctions with Cobourg Street and Melton Street which are anticipated to take place in early 2018. More information will be provided closer to the time.

There will be no disruption to utility services as a consequence of these works.

We recognise the disturbance this work can create and apologise in advance.
