HS2 Works Extension: Track level weekend works in Euston approaches, October and November 2020

Overnight activities will continue on weekends in October and November next to Network Rail tracks near Hampstead Road, Granby Terrace and Mornington Street bridges. The works will be carried out between Saturdays 10pm to Sundays 12pm each weekend.

These activities include visual inspections and surveys of the rail assets and retaining walls including excavating ballast by hand and coring 100mm holes into the masonry retaining walls. We will continue ground investigations, which will involve drilling small boreholes, and vegetation clearance at various locations at track level. We will continue installing hoarding at track level between our worksite and the rail tracks.

The works are carried out at night along with planned Network Rail works during track closures for safe working. Lighting will not be intrusive and will only be used at each works location. We do not expect the works to be noisy and we will take all measures necessary to minimise the impact of our works on local residents.

For details of weekend works please refer to ‘Track-level weekend works in Euston Approaches’ notification .
