News on HS2 in Camden

Three days track-level works over the Christmas period - 25 – 27 December 2020.

For three days during the Christmas period, we will be carrying out sheet piling works at track level immediately adjacent to the Network Rail tracks. We can only work this close to the tracks when the trains are not running and we need to complete the work in one go. Therefore, we will make use of the longer closure that is possible over the Christmas period. We will be working between Mornington Street and Granby Terrace bridges. Please see notification.

Drainage surveys on Gloucester Avenue - 21 and 22 January 2021

A portion of the surveys outlined in the November notification could not be completed and have now be rescheduled. Works will take place on 21 and 22 January 2021. Please see notification.

Kilburn Priory, Langtry Road and Springfield Lane - 19, 20, 25 and 26 January 2021

We will be carrying out further drainage surveys on Springfield Lane on 19 and 20 January and overnight on Langtry Road and Kilburn Priory on 25 January, Springfield Lane and Kilburn Priory on 26 January 2021. Please see notification.

Further works within the Adelaide Road site - January 2021

Further to notification sent in November 2020, about works within the Adelaide Road site, the planned tree removal works during December have been re-phased. Works to remove further vegetation and trees within the site will now take place from January 2021. Our works do not include removal of vegetation or trees within the Adelaide Road Nature Reserve. Works around Euston Station:

Ground investigation works around Euston Road and Doric Way from mid-January 2021 until May 2021

Interim taxi rank construction - January 2021 until December 2021

To facilitate the construction of the proposed HS2 station we will construct an interim taxi rank facility in the east side of Euston Square Gardens. The current taxi rank will move from Euston Square Gardens (west) to Euston Square Gardens (east).

Demolition of One Euston Square and Grant Thornton House - works will continue until 2022

In advance of the proposed HS2 station, we will continue and complete the demolition of One Euston Square and Grant Thornton buildings, to the west side of Euston Station. Most of the works are planned to take place during core working hours only. However, it may be necessary to undertake some works during the weekend and at night. This is so that we can reduce the impact on the public and commuters at Euston Station.
