HS2 Works Notification: Update on works in Adelaide Road area

Temporary lane closure remains in place until September

Due to unforeseen circumstances relating to the impact of Covid-19 on our supply chain, temporary lane closures and traffic lights will remain in place on Adelaide Road until September.

Works to install our worksite boundary have also been rescheduled and will now take place from mid-August to late September.

Further works in the area

During July and August, we will start carrying out ecological surveys within our site. We will need to remove some low level grasses and bushes to carry out the surveys.

From the end of this month, we plan to start works to remove the section of brick wall located within our site boundary. We understand that the brick wall on Adelaide Road is important to the local community. We need to remove it while we are building the ventilation shaft and head house and will replace it when our works are complete.

For full details of the above works, please see the work notification here.
