HS2 works update in Euston Throat, Camden Cutting and Parkway

Works in the Euston Throat worksite from July onwards

We are expanding the railway cutting in the area between Hampstead Road and Granby Terrace to make way for the new HS2 railway tracks. As part of these works, we will construct a new retaining wall on the Regent’s Park estate side of the cutting. We will then excavate the ground between Hampstead Road and Granby Terrace to widen the railway cutting.

Update: Hampstead Road central reserve removal – July to end of August

  • Northbound lane will remain closed until the works are complete.
  • Vehicles will be able to access Varndell Street from Hampstead Road from 12 August.
  • Access from Varndell Street onto Hampstead Road will remain closed until the works are complete at the end of August.

    Overnight CCTV utility survey on Parkway - 23 to 25 August

  • We will carry out the works over two-night shifts, working from 8pm to 5am the following day.
  • A section of the lane in front of the properties at 117 to 129 Parkway will be closed to create a safe working area.
  • Access to these properties will be maintained at all times.
  • These works will not be noisy and will not cause disruption to the sewer system.

    UKPN cable install on Mornington Street bridge from 23 August to 13 September

  • Works will be carried out in phases within the south-side footway and westbound carriageway on Mornington Street bridge.
  • Each phase will require footway and lane closures on Park Village East, Mornington Street bridge and Mornington Terrace, with temporary traffic lights in place.
  • The bridge will remain open.

    • Vibratory sheet piling trial within Camden Cutting worksite are delayed until 12 to 18 August.
