News on HS2 in Camden

Park Village East Hoarding Works

Hoarding works along Park Village East have been put on hold because we have encountered some delays with deliveries. From 9 October we will remove the traffic management in place for the lane closure and release the parking bays while we finalise plans. We will maintain the footpath closure to carry out some minor works.

We will provide an update once a new date for the works are confirmed prior to installing traffic management. As we progress the installation of the hoarding on Park Village East at the southern end near Granby Terrace, we will move the line of the hoarding into the footpath keeping a 1.5 m offset from the edge of the footpath to enable construction of a substation within our worksite. We will also remove the parapet wall within this area for the construction of the substation.

Stanhope Street

Hoarding works and traffic management along Stanhope Street, including reinstating the existing graphics and lighting, will be completed by 16 October.

Hampstead Road

The works to set-up the Hampstead Road worksite are in progress with the planned night works now complete. Due to delays during the week caused by issues with fencing installation and amendments to security measures we need to carry out works this weekend, Saturday 10 October and Sunday 11 October, from 8am to 6pm. We apologise for the disruption caused by these works.

Granby Terrace Bridge

Works near Granby Terrace are continuing including earthworks, trial holes and surveys. From 26 October we will carry out a trial hole survey on the east abutment of Granby Terrace bridge near our Addison Lee office. The work will be completed within a week and we will fence off the works area for safety.

Large Load Movements

On Monday 19 October, Wednesday 21 October and the week commencing Monday 26 October, large loads will be delivered via Park Village East, Stanhope Street or Granby Terrace bridge to our Euston Scissor Box worksite.

These movements may need to be carried out at night or early morning for safety reasons and our traffic management team will be present to assist the haulier to safely navigate the route.
