Network Rail works update

This weekend (23 & 24 June) Network Rail will be carrying out works that were initially planned to take place 16/17 June. Please accept Network Rail’s apologies for the short notice alteration regarding these activities.

The work will involve the installation of overhead line foundations, breaking-out of concrete buffer stops and excavation work for new track beds in area C and D (see map below). Vibration piling methods will be used to install the overhead line foundations during night/early mornings and hammer piling between 7:00am & 12:00 on Saturday 23 June and Sunday 24 June. Concrete breaking activities will not start before 9:00am on Saturday 23 June.

The work will be carried out as quickly and carefully as possible to reduce disturbance and disruption. Whilst workers will need to communicate with each other during the work, they have been instructed to keep noise to a minimum as far as possible.

We will keep you informed with further alerts should further re-scheduling occur.

Network Rail will do all they can to ensure their work does not disrupt residents and businesses. Please do not hesitate to contact Network Rail if you have any additional questions or concerns. Please visit www.networkrail.co.uk or telephone the 24-Hour National Helpline on 03457 11 41 41 .
