Notice to start demolition works on the National Temperance Hospital site

Dear Neighbour,

Notice to start demolition works on the National Temperance Hospital site

Following the erection of the scaffolding and hoarding around the site earlier this month, we are writing to let you know that we intend to start demolition works on the site known as National Temperance Hospital on Monday 31st October 2016. The site working hours for demolition works will be Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm and Saturday 8am – 1pm. The demolition is expected to take four months to complete.

The demolition of the Vezey Wing is being carried out by Keltbray. The site will then become the HS2 site office for all the works in the area.

The method of demolition will be top down deconstruction using a combination of mechanical techniques. These works will take place behind a fully wrapped demolition scaffold screen. When the top floors have been removed from the structure, a long reach excavator will demolish the rest of the structure to ground level. All rubble from the demolition will be sorted and removed from site for reuse and recycling.

We will adhere to the conditions that have been placed on us by Camden Council for the duration of our works.

We again would like to apologise in advance for any disruption or inconvenience our work may cause.

If you’d like to find out more about HS2 construction works in your area, there is a Construction open evening at HS2 in Euston on Thursday 20th October 2016 6-8pm. The HS2 information centre is within Collective Temperance Hospital, 110 Hampstead Road, NW1 2LS.

If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact us by phone on 08081 434 434 or via email at hs2enquiries@hs2.org.uk.

Regards,

Keltbray
