Old Addison Lee site (corner of Granby Terrace and Hampstead Road)

The former Addison Lee car park site near Granby Terrace is being developed to be used as a construction compound. There will be site offices installed (four story high cabins) to support the works in the Granby Terrace/Hampstead Road area for the foreseeable future. The HS2 in Camden community drop-in information centre is also located on the site.

How will this affect me?

From 5 December to 22 December 2017 and then continuing after the Christmas break from 2 January 2018 there will be noise while the foundations for the cabins are being built.

The initial removal of the existing concrete will be the noisiest activity and will involve saw cutting the surface with the possibility of breaking concrete in small sections, although this will be intermittent. Once the foundations have been laid, the cabins will be lifted into place from 19 December to 22 December 2017, and then continuing from 2 January to late January 2018.

There will be parking bay suspensions on the south side of Granby Terrace and traffic management measures will be in place to allow safe vehicle movements into the compound to deliver the cabins with the use of a crane.

The temporary toilet block currently on the site will also be removed and this will involve intermittent noisy works. The toilet block removal works will be carried out on Saturday morning 9 December 2017 during normal construction hours.

  • Normal working hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, Saturdays 8am to 1pm
  • Our contractors may also be on site for an hour before the start and/or at the end of each shift
  • We recognise the disturbance this work may cause and we apologise in advance.
