Thames Water CCTV surveys

In the Euston area, a programme of non-intrusive surveys is taking place so Thames Water can assess and confirm the condition of its sewers prior to the start of construction. The information will be used to design and then carry out mitigation and protective measures prior to the start of HS2 construction works. The activities will include lifting of manhole covers and internal inspection of manholes and sewers. The manholes are located within the highway and pavements.

The majority of the work will be carried out during the day but, in a limited number of locations including Robert Street, Albany Street, Gloucester Gate Bridge, Euston Road, Eversholt Street, Hampstead Road, Euston Square, Duke’s Road and Prince Albert Road, it has been agreed with London Borough of Camden that work may be carried out during the evening or night in order to minimise disruption to traffic.
