Utility Trial Holes- Granby Terrace Bridge, Stanhope Street, Hampstead Road and Harrington Street

PLEASE NOTE THESE WORKS HAVE BEEN DELAYED. NEW DATES WILL BE ADVISED IN DUE COURSE

As part of developing the route design of the HS2 high speed railway, we will be carrying out utility trial holes on Granby Terrace Bridge, Stanhope Street, Hampstead Road and Harrington Street.

These trial holes will help us to understand what utilities may be affected by the works , so that we can maintain existing services and avoid unnecessary service interruptions.

Duration of Works

Granby Terrace Bridge from early October, expected to be completed by mid October 2017

Stanhope Street and Hampstead Road from early October, expected to be completed by the end of November 2017

Harrington Street from mid October, expected to be completed by mid November 2017

Normal working hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm, Saturdays 8am - 1pm. Contractors may also be site for half an hour before the start and/or at the end of each shift.

There will be a temporary road closure on Granby Terrace Bridge between Hampstead Road and Park Village East, with traffic diversions in place. Access will be maintained for residents on Harrington Street.

The works on Stanhope Street will take place on the junction of Park Village East and Granby Terrace. This will require alternating single lane and footpath closures. There will be traffic management measures in place and Stanhope Street will remain open.

On Hampstead Road, the works will be carried out around the Granby Terrace junction, with single lane and footpath closures. Hampstead Road will remain open.

On Harrington Street, there will be lane and footpath closures, with traffic management measures in place.

The initial breaking out of the road will be the nosiest activity, athough this will be intermittent and not continuous. We will erect temporary screening clad with acoustic panels to reduce noise.

There will be no disruption to utility services during these works.
