As part of developing the route design of the HS2 high speed railway, we are carrying out utility trial hole surveys in Mornington Crescent.
The surveys will involve temporary holes being dug which will enable us to establish where utilities and services are located beneath the road surface.
Duration of works:
The temporary trial hole will be dug across of the entire width of Mornington Crescent at the southern junction with Hampstead Road opposite Lidlington Place.
For the duration of the works the following traffic management will apply:
The initial digging/breaking out of the road will be the noisiest activity, although this will be intermittent and not continuous. We will erect screening clad with acoustic panels to reduce noise. We will work as quickly as we can and not close the road for longer than it is necessary. We will keep our work area tidy.
There will be no disruption to utility services as a consequence of these works. We recognise the disturbance this work can create and apologise in advance.
