We are carrying out a utility trial hole survey on the carriageway of North Gower Street at the junction of Stevenson Way and one on Gower Street next to the University College Hospital during May 11 to May 22 .
The surveys will involve temporary holes being dug which will enable us to establish where utilities and services are located beneath the road surface.
North Gower Street:
· The work will take place in one lane of the road at a time
· Temporary traffic lights will be in place
· Parking bays will be suspended opposite the Euston Square hotel, outside No. 162- 168 and No.185 including the disabled parking bay.
Gower Street:
· The work will take place in one lane of the road at a time
· Parking bays will be suspended opposite the cycle hire station
Traffic management and diversion signs will be in place, the footpaths will remain open at all times during the works.
The initial breaking out of the road will be the noisiest activity, although this will be intermittent and not continuous. We will erect temporary screening clad with acoustic panels to reduce noise, working as quickly as possible and keep work areas tidy.
There will be no disruption to utility services because of these works. We recognise the disturbance this work can create and apologise in advance.
