Utility works in the community pop-up garden - from 17 January

As part of the ongoing utility works in the Hampstead Road area, a small part of the north end of the community pop-up garden will be used for the installation of an electrical substation. Works will start on the 17 January with the hoarding off of this small part of the garden, and the installation will be completed by mid-March. The connections for the sub-station will take place in the southern side of Cardington Street. These works will not affect any services.

The HS2 in Camden information centre will remain open as usual during these works, and for now the remainder of the garden will also remain open to the public. However, work will start to recycle the plants and skips from the garden in preparation for the area to be fully returned to construction use in due course. Once we have firm dates on when the garden will close, we will keep you updated.
