Network Rail December works reminder

As per the latest works notification letter from Network Rail dated 11 September, this is a reminder that Network Rail is carrying out various works in December and over the Christmas period.

Signalling work at Euston station;

Network Rail will be carrying out signalling work over the weekends of 7/8 December and 14/15 December. They will also be carrying out more signalling work, including testing between 24 December and 27 December.

Most of this work will take place inside the station, however, there will also be some staff walking between Euston and Primrose Hill tunnels testing the signalling equipment, and two mobile elevator working platforms on the tracks.

Demolition work at Euston station

There is also demolition work taking place within the station, on platform 17 and 18. To help reduce the noise and dust, and for site security during the demolition work, special scaffold screens incorporating noise acoustic barriers and dust barriers will be in place between platforms 16 and 17. Using these screens should reduce the noise generated from the demolition work to levels similar to that currently experienced in platform areas.

Work in the Camden Carriage sidings

There are also various minor works taking place to install driver walkways in the Camden Carriage sidings. This work will only involve small hand tools and the noise level is expected to be minimal. Work will be carried out during the weeks starting 8 and 16 December on weekdays between 11 am and 3 pm.
